What is recommended motor oil for 1.33 engine. I heard it's 0w20? Is there any official information?

The official information is in the manual.

Toyota recommends 0W-20 (mainly for fuel consumption reasons) but a high quality 5W-30 is fine, too. My dealer dont even has 0W-20 so they use genuine 5W-30.

Toyota Genuine Oil here is 5W-30 C3 (also suitable for D-CAT Diesel engines). SM seems fine.

My dealer has 'Toyota 5W30' (tube 1l) - API SL/EC, ACEA A1/B1; 'Toyota 5W40' (Tank)- API SL/CF, ACEA A3/B3; 'Lexus 5W30' (tube 1l)- API SL/EC, ACEA A1/B1.
So, which is the right choice?!

Ding Ding Ding....the correct answer is!------------do what your TOYOTA manuel says. Some of the overseas folks' yaris may have different import criteria(There country's standards).Just do what the manuel says....you'll be fine.If you have concerns, then, use only Toyota oil and their oil filters...if something goes wrong,it will show that you used THEIR oil & their filters!.

didak,what is your engine type?1NR-FE?
if this is the case, the manual says 0w-20 is recommended because of the fuel consumption and cold starts.the manual states that if 0w-20 isn't availble you can use 5w-30 but it needs replacement in the next service interval.SL or SM is good.

but one thing bugs me-why can't we continue to use 5w-30?
