My Scan gauge usually reads 188 degrees for normal operating temperature.
The blue light goes out when the engine temperature reaches 130 degrees. |

I have a mechanical water temp gauge and the blue light goes out at 115-120°F. But my temp probe is in the block, not the head so it take slightly longer to warm up. Normal operating temp is still the same though. Between 185-195 under normal conditions and I've seen as high as 220 sitting on the highway with the A/C pumping in 35°C weather. |
