What I meant was: if you are moving permanently to SA or NSW from another state, your current plates (and license) would only be valid for 3 months. You'd have to convert them to your new state's plates and license.
It should not be the case if you're only visiting, as you will return to your home state after your visit. These rules are lenient, I guess, because I haven't heard of anyone getting a ticket for not registering their cars in the state they are living in for x number of months. |
