Toy Toronto, I cannot thank-you enough for starting this thread!

I am very impressed with this unit! Instalation took maybe 10 minutes at the most, my GPS worked out of the box. I have not checked my version or if I need any updates yet as everything works great!

I fished the GPS, USB & Ipod cable through the dash and into the glove box.

How exactly do you pair the bluetooth? My unit came with no instructions.

I have the same headunit, and I have paired my phone to it.

It's pretty easy, but you have to do it through your phone. Just go to the bluetooth menu on your phone and go to "find device", then pair it with the head unit. Your radio has to be on for this to happen though.

Ah yeah I saw that before I even had a chance to come back and edit my post lol. For some reason I didn't see the little "sync" button at the bottom of the bluetooth menu on the phone.

But now, of course, I have another question. How do you get all your contacts from your phone, loaded into the navigation unit? If you are to make calls from the unit itself, you are going to need all your contacts in the little phone book so you can scroll through who you want to call.

I don't think you can to be honest... others can correct me if I'm wrong. I've always just used speed dial on my iphone while BT connected.

The only interface buttons I use on the deck during phone calls are the "call answer" and "hangup" buttons, lol. I also use the play, prev, next, stop, etc. buttons while A2DP streaming music playback from my phone.

Navigate to the main NAVI screen and when you get there click the Setup icon and point the path to the .exe so that the unit knows to find the iGo8 GPS application launcher.

(* ignore the red text and arrows)

The GPS app should launch automatically when the headunit finds the .exe on the SD card, you will then need to go to the GPS menu / settings to auto-detect the GPS port of the head unit before you can start to navigate.

Yeah I got the actual .exe gps thing loaded, and I set a route and everything. I was trying to actually use it, but it thought I was in san antonio texas for some reason, even though the little arrow that is supposed to be the car, never moved. And the unit never spoke directions. But I'll try your recommendation and see what happens. Then I'll report back heh

Ok thanks a lot man. Yeah for some reason, it doesn't autodetect the GPS antenna unless you go in and tell it to. Odd. Got it working now though!

And now... another question. Is there a way to... decouple the GPS voice from the radio volume? I maxed out all the settings on the GPS voice, but if you're listening to the radio, the radio is way too loud. If you turn the radio down enough for it to be tolerable, you can just barely make out the GPS voice.

Is anyone else having this problem with the bluetooth?? When I use the bluetooth, I have to turn the volume way up. Then as soon as the person hangs up, my radio comes back on and it scares the crap out of me cause its loud as hell.

Yeah, I have that problem. I haven't figured out if there is a way to set the bluetooth volume high then have the radio low.

I just have to remember to turn down the volume right when the person hangs up.

I suggest you guys explore the unit a little further. I learned all the settings by trial and error.

There are lots of hidden menus in this thing and as you already know due to lack of documentation, you must find a way to really drill down deeper into the menu system and try them all. This is how I learned how to use this thing and I'm not even an audio expert.

On the first post, picture #5 shows the audio menu where if you hit "next" button I believe the following screen will show the option where you can increase/decrease the volume GAIN for Bluetooth, radio, DVD, etc. Give that a shot.
