It depends on how the Scangauge gets it's info. If the computer is delivering the fuel usage in liters, you're probably seeing US MPG unless the Scangauge is set for UK gallons. Check the Scangauge's manual.

Can you set your gauge to L/100KM? Then you could do the conversion to see which gallon the scangauge is using.

When i switch the gauge to L/100kms it usually reads around 5 L/100kms.
