stock wheel width is 5 inches, but I also went to a 15x7 +38 with a 225/50 tire and I have no problems... stock offset is +38

Where did you get that number from? The wheel shop I went to had a book with all models and stock offsets in it and it said +45 stock.. Just wondering.
