I am asked at LEAST a dozen times a month if my car is a hybrid. Perhaps it is because I am debadged and people are confused as hell what my car is since there an no other jade sea Yarii in my area plus mine is the only jade sea S model, not sure. It is a bit annoying, but I just nicely say, "no it is strait gasoline". As for if someone thinks they can get smart with me about my car I just tell them to sh1t in their hand and take a bite.
