theres quite a few different options not all of which will be carried by sponsors.

Ive always used K&N but im beggining to have second thoughts on using an oil type filter with a MAF sensor.
I would prefer using 'dry' filters and will try to find one If I dont buy a CAI.

here are some others.

Green Filters (pretty much k&n)
True Flow
Air Hog (Fram)
AFE
Airaid

Your correct, filter oil can get pulled through the air filter and coat the MAF sensor leading to poor performance, even a check engine light. However, I noticed our cars have a sort of secondary filter. You can see it if you open up your filter box and look inside the top. Wouldn't this stop any oil residue from passing through to the MAF sensor?

Also, if you like oil coated filters, the MAF is easily cleaned with some spray electrical cleaner. From what I've been told it's only a problem on newly oiled filters because people tend to "over oil" them. I run the filter 1000 miles, clean the MAF(carefully), then keep running the filter.

Is the TRD an oiled filter?

i believe this TRD one is an oiled filter based on the cleaning kit they offer. so it shouldnt be a problem then. Experience with C-ONE air filter anybody? finally does someone know where i can get an inexpensive TRD filter in Beaverland? the vendor based on Van wants $140 CAD plus tax and S&H.

I have run oil based aftermarket CAI filters on everything we own over the years... If you know how to recharge them correctly, you wont ever have any MAF related issues.
