How Much is Too Much?

We had a road check the other night, out of the blue. I have my skull license plate frame with the red LED eyes that I had toyed with hooking up to the license plate light, taking the stock one out. I didn't do it because the plate wouldn't be illuminated, and the other night I was certainly glad I didn't do that. (They're going to be hooked up to the brake lights soon).

that is part of what I was talking about having your stuff together...there isn't a federal law regarding license plate frame lighting therefore it falls on your state statutes. If you state says no then you can't. Since you didn't they couldn't give you a ticket. Hell, many times they might harass just cause they want to check out your ride without admitting it...lol
