But, I don't drive a car for 2 years and trade like many other people do. I drive them until the wheels fall off, and in every American car I have had, that has been well short of anything I can get out of a Toy. That's my own personal experience, having had nearly every American brand there was until finally running a 1979 Corolla for a couple hundred thousand miles and selling it to a guy who ran it that much more.

We had a 1998 Avalon that had 196,000 miles on it when I gave it to my daughter to drive. She still drives it everywhere every day. We never once had anything like a tuneup done on that car. Not one thing was ever done to it except a key switch had to be replaced several years ago. We changed the oil regularly and that is it. We did no scheduled maintenance BS.

whats your point my friend has an impala with 170k on it only thing he has done is a set of intake gaskets. I have had several jeeps with over 200k my current jeep has 160k on the clock and it runs like new.

The OP's cars both have leaking head gaskets thats not exactly good initial quality if you ask me most people on here who bash domestics have never had one they all think japanese cars are the best thing since sliced bread.
