HID Color Temp

6000 is the ONLY way to not have the cops on your @$$.

6K is White-White where 8000 is already in the purple-blue range, and you're gonna look wayyyyyyyyy different than the rest of traffic, and I'm not so sure that's your intention...

However, it's your choice....

look here for the color:

I had the 8k and changed the bulbs to 6K due to hasles with uncle john law complaining about headlamp modification legalities, but your mileage might be better

yeah thats possible, but someone in this thread who doesnt live too far from me said that anything under 8000k should be okay, (but then again it really depends on the cops mood that day)

lately, ive noticed that a LOT of people around my area have HID's installed, and from what i could tell about 80% were 6000k and the rest 20% were 8000k, so im going to take my chances

also on top of waiting for my HIDs to come in, im also waiting on eye lids, so after i install my HIDs ill put on those eye lids. and im assuming it might reduce the spray a little on the top?? so that might help, but if not ill still be taking my chances

That's fine with me. I was just providing a few points you might want to keep in mind. I personally wouldn't go higher than the 5000K that's in my car already. It is your car though, so I wish you the best in modifying it to your liking.

Color will differ between different bulb manufacturers. Two bulbs from two different manufacturers can have the same kelvin rating but still produce slightly different colors. I've seen 6000k bulbs that appear more white while others have more of a blue tint.
