Brake Pads - Toyota Yaris Forums

I've got 46k on my stock pads that came with the car. I was thinking it was probably getting close as well, but I haven't heard any squeaking so I haven't thought too much about it.

By the way, not to derail or steal the thread, but it reminded me, I would consider myself a "hobbyist" wrencher and scanned the DIY list sticky and saw no DIY for changing yaris brake pads. Is there a good step by step DIY or should I look for it in the service manual somewhere? (I downloaded the one available here) Is it worth doing myself or should I just take it to some brake place?

The one here helped me along with that part of the service manual. If you have the tools or access to them and take your time it's not that hard. I did mine when I took everything off to get powdered. Make sure you read and use the proper cleaners and greases to avoid trouble down the road.
