yea, it will hurt the battery as was said, but how much? Can't really tell. Was it an easy jump?

I just had my wife's Jeep in the garage next to me, ran the cables over and connected them up. I didn't start up the Jeep. When I cranked the Yaris it sounded like it was struggling to turn over, but after the initial turn over it started right up. I assumed the struggle to turn over was because the jeep was not running and poor contact with the jumper cable leads.

Before it was totaled I drove a 2007 Black Sand Pearl 3 Door Lift-Back M/T with 49k miles. Stock Everything except for black tint, all red badges, red dash, and stealth garage door opener. Ultra-Gauge mounted on steering wheel. A1 Electric MES Central Locks and Avital 3100 Alarm system.

i've never heard of being able to jump a car with another car that was off!!! wow.

i agree with grabbing a charger/desulfator thing, but just on general principles more than anything.
