Less restrictive as in there is less shit you have to buy to actually be able to race. You basically need a helmet and a number magnet. I believe SCCA requires a tad more, correct? Could be wrong, feel free to enlighten me.

assuming your car passes tech (both sanctioning bodies require it) all you need is a helmet and numbers to run.

now to actually do wheel to wheel "racing" and not just a lapping day both sanctioning bodies require proof you're capable of not being a dumbass and a capable driver.

for Autox all you need is a helmet and something to make your #s with

oh and a car that passes tech.
