Yes the holidays have made things a challange. But here is where I am right now. I know you guys love the updates and the drama.

Yesterday we went on the dyno but not before fixing a leaky methanol fitting and the one way valve for it that wasn't so one way. But after those two things on to the MD500 we went.

Still not finished because I have the wrong spring in my Tial MV-S wastegate and could not do a damn thing about it yesterday.

So here is how it went yesterday:

3200 rpm with 4.3lb of boost = 132hp
4800 rpm with 16lb of boost = 282hp

WAs using 107 octane and meth

My red line is 7000rpm. so here is where I am untill sometime next week untill I get the new springs from Tial. I have done so much mods that in light of doing all this stuff I didn't even pay attention to the spring rate that was preinstalled in the wastegate. We were on the dyno and noticed that we couldn't get past the above numbers untill further inspection of the wstegate.

So next week new number will be available. The car sounds amazing with the 70mm TB and all my race engine stuff.

Oh and gets better............pushed the car down the ramps on the dyno set it to the side for about 10min. got back in to drive it around and some how the transmission linkage cables are either binding or broke from god knows what. Was getting dark and to close to beer-thirty to give a shit so back at on monday.

There is your update you impaticent bastards (LOL)

I wanna hear it! Take a cam with you next time. :) Anyway, glad it's at least running...282 is above and beyond what most of our cars will see. I know it's nowhere near your goal, but it's at least something, so congrats on that, and good luck with the tranny/wastegate. Thx for the update.

Congrats on your numbers although low for your build (you should be running above 350Bhp!

Re: the trans cables, I had mine changed two times because of overheating. Mine was always the shift cable mainly since this is the closest cable to the turbo downpipe. Check if the downpipe is touching the cables and if you can put some wrapping around the cables aswell

each number represents a spring rate color below. This is how Tial does their waste gates.

Thanks Parma, will look at the same issue you had. I hope thats it and problem solved.

And yes will be in around 380 hp when done. That motor of mine is a beast and sounds awsome. It spools up quick with that new GTX style turbo. I have alot more power available just gotta change that spring and fix that tranny cable.

I fixed it by replacing the cable, don't waste time repairing it. Also had to wait for weeks for the cable tru Toyota service.

380bhp with Nos and Turbo is easily achievable.

Can you give detail information about the head you are running now instead of gude? I am interested because I am running a stock head and I wish to know how much power it's components withstand, especially the valve springs.
