I guess the hard part is sometime you don't know if it's a small animal or something really hard like a wheel or a block of cement.

I had that one last weekend - not sure what it was, but the car in front of me jinked sideways at the last minute, and I didn't have time to see what he was avoiding. Luckily, apart from a nasty noise, my snows'n'steelies appear OK. Was definitely harder than a raccoon...

Glad to hear you are still with us, sleey0. Sad to hear you are limited to an automatic transmission, though.
