Moral of the story.. always have two sets of tires/wheels! Hotswapping will essentially net you twice the tire life if you alternate them with seasons

This is what I plan on doing. I'm going to purchase wheels and tires when the tread on my current set gets down. Then I'll have brand new all seasons for winter and can completely wear out my older set in the summer. The wheels pay for themselves because you don't have to pay to mount and balance every season. Plus you can put on/take off yourself so nobody's stripping your lug nuts!
