Nav-wise, these little units have come a long way.

My first GPS was a Garmin StreetPilot III ($700 !!!!!). It didn't come with their biggest memory card (proprietary, of course), cannot hold the entire USA map even with the biggest card, and on top of that only came with a license for your "group" of states. Getting the entire USA map costs extra.



I'm amazed at what $100 can buy just 3 years ago. I got this from Amazon. It has the entire USA map, uses SD cards and can be hacked (runs on Windows CE). I can load 2 full Disney movies into the SD card and use it as a portable viewer for my kids when we eat at restaurants. Best of all, it's noticeably faster (10X at least).
