Wow. I've never been able to get over 38mpg (US), even when a goodly portion of the mileage was obtained from the 55mph cruise. Currently, I'm getting 32mpg from aggressive winter driving in mixed hwy/city. (1.5L 5dr manual). I expect my mileage to go back to 35 mpg once the weather gets better and the stations dump the winterized gas.
