Those are not burned at all... The car does not even begin to push those monsters, the rest of the tire is just covered with old rubber from the cool down lap - there is a lot of build up on the inside edge of the tire. It is very important to scrub tires like these on your warm up lap.

And with bias ply cantilever slicks the proper camber range is around half (-.5) a degree on most cars, they are not like a radial.

This is what a dead one looks like... A little too soft of a compound choice, and a little too much camber (this was -.8).
