You close it like you do the rear hatch. Yes there is resistance when closing it so you can't really slam it. Just push it down until it hooks the latch then shove it into the locked position.
I stays up quite well on its own. And I imagine it would fully open by itself if it weren't for the safety catch on the hood latch. |
