Theft Warning ECU
Does anyone know if every Yaris has a Theft Warning ECU or has TO have this to run?
My 2007 Yaris just died and no mechanic can figure out why. It seems computer/electric related. Turn the key and dashboard goes crazy and that's it. No engine trying to start just nothing. Could it be some kind of alarm/kill switch thing? Had it a year with no problems! Please advise. Thanks!!! |

Most US 07's don't have the transponder key, but if yours did and that was the issue, the engine would crank but not start.
I have found that if the battery is low enough, the dash will light, but the starter will not even click, so you may want to check the battery.
