I had to replace mine after a year, but it was because the ecometer was sucking the life out of it.

I bought a new one at WallyMart and it had more cranking amps than the OEM battery. You can't go wrong if you get Wallymart's top of the line battery!

wait really ? does it draw power when the engine is off or something should i unplug it every time the cars off

I had a car that ate a few batteries in short order and thought it was just crappy batteries until one day whilst opening the trunk my arm brushed by the trunk light..it was warm, evidently it was staying on all the time and draining the battery.
I now have a similar problem with my newly acquired Mazda and i suspect the alarm system is draining the battery prematurely..
