The engine they used for the Scion xD and Yaris TS is the 2ZR-FE "ported/modified 1NZ block" dual VVT-i, its more high-tech than than the 2ZZ-GE with VVTL-i but with less power because it doesn't provide intake valve lift but, it does also control the exhaust valve timing... just like the IS-350 with a smaller displacement. I hope this enlightens you... They have plans on making a Dual VVTL-i for the upcoming 2010 "KING" Supra!
