Because they choose to make it different. Scion is choosing to make the handling very sporty, from what the journalists have said it is almost set to permanent oversteer.

Subaru choose to set the steering to normal passenger sedan understeer safe. Probably for the same reason most sedans drive like pigs.

Hi WHy.. I did relize the FR-S was going to be branded(built) that different between brands..
