Everytime someone gets into my car they're surprised how big it is on the inside. But I guess Americans are used to bigger cars than we Europeans as well.

like others have said. Small outside big inside. Im always supprised how much room I have on each side of my car when i park. But my last car which was a Hyundai Elantra was a "midsize" sedan vs the yaris "compact. The yaris altho it is smaller has just as much room as my old elantra did. I think its due to the short front end. That engine bay is tiny.
