The Yaris engine is a thing of wonder. 106 hp and only 1.5 liters. That was unheard of thirty years ago. Engines that big were like 60 or 70 hp.
I know you are not going to want to hear this but im my opinion good vibes from the Yaris come from reliability and frugality at the pump. Its a small, perfectly designed car. Its roomy, comfortable, carrys lots of things when needed, and is easy to get in and out of. MAybe there is a chip for the engine? Good luck with the car!

I don't think I want to start messing with chips just yet. I actually want to keep it mostly stock, was just wondering about this gas pedal delay that gets to me when I hit the highway. But all is good. Thank you to the rest for the suggestions. I thought about the short shifter, but I know it itself doesn't give the car power, just rather a different feel to the shifting. And I'm not sure I want to mess with that just yet either. I like the smooth, stock shifter. I've played with short shifters on other cars and they weren't really for me, I always end up switching back. A short shifter would be one of the last modifications I'd make to it. Thanks again everyone |
