Besides, the 2007-2008 JDM and USDM were nowhere near the same, the JDM were much smaller, and JDM body kits required the removal of the USDM rear bumper and either leaving it off or finding a JDM bumper.

Just curious - is there a way to check the front 2009 bumpers compatibility using part numbers or something?

Probably, best bet would be to pm CTScott, he seems to have a lot of that type of information.
