Bad idea!!! A MAF sensor measures airflow and can't do it correctly with a tube that is a different size than stock. Your NOT gaining performance by doing that and you WILL throw a CEL (check engine light).

yeah that's what i was thinking. i was reading a bit more on this sensor and apparently it's really touchy to any kind of big changes in piping size and mounting location.

i hate MAF's i would rather have a MAP sensor anytime. i'm still gonna swap it out tomorrow and see what happens. just for the heck of it. if the CEL comes on i'll just erase it with my scanner and throw it back to stock.
