This is where the old fashioned idea of building a test enclosure so you can move things around and put the speakers in different places becomes really smart.
I did that with all my different subs in this car...especially after that phasing nightmare of placing the 15" in the rear right corner of the trunk and having at least a 3dB loss in out put no matter what I did with the phase. I think I doubled up on acoustic phase demons with that placement attempt. I'd build a test enclosure shape pretty much as you have it in the picture. One question though, tell us about the ports and their locations. Why to the rear?
