He can lead YOU if you're so hard up for an idiot. If someone is stupid enough to put a bullet through his foot, he does deserve a smack...and to be relieved of command for utter and absolute stupidity and lack of safety around himself and his soldiers.

An NCO assaulting an officer for any reason is against the UCMJ. Article 90, go look it up.
Talk big all you want, but some of us know the truth having been both an NCO
and an officer (as well as a commander).
