It can be very accurate. It takes like 3 tanks to calibrate it. However, I set mine to read worse than what I'm actually getting simply to make me try to get better gas mileage. lol
Normal water temp, at least for my car is 179*-184*. The cool light turns off at 128*, so don't start driving hard right after it turns off, give it a few more minutes. iirc, the fan turns on around 205*. |
