Thought I would drop a note here for prosperity. I've got an '08 with the factory racks, and have the Thule universal flat top setup. Works just fine with the boards bottom to bottom, two wide. Plenty of room between the Thule rack and the roof for the bindings.
Also, and this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, but being a manual hatchback, best feeling in the world (one of, anyway): On the way up to the mountain, cruising slowly past SUVs driven by dumbasses as they slide sideways into the ditch, spinning their tires the whole way down :P The only time I've ever been stuck in the snow in my Yaris is when the hard-pack reaches the underpinnings and I get high-centered. Love this car. |
