In their own stadium -- No. In their own metropolitan area -- Yes. Twice. The Rams lost in SB 14 at the Rose Bowl, which is about 18 miles from their home field. The 49ers won SB 19 at Stanford Stadium, which is about 27 miles from their home field.

Oops, should be 'which was about 18 miles from their home field' as the the Rams play in St. Louis now.
