The biggest thing to look for is ones that are dampened. The cheap ebay ones that I initially experimented with were not, and they really bounced the hatch at the top of travel. As for lift strength, 90 lbs, like the ones that Myztic posted the link to are good. If you added sound deadening material to the hatch, then you would want to go up to 100 lb lift ones.
