Maybe they do not care and feel it is their car and want their thoughts on the car. Some people do not care about the value lost and feel their thoughts are more important.
I on the other hand do not put things on my car thinking some whacko will be offended and feel the need to damage my vehicle.

Definitely possible...... there is one place where I have spent a fair amount of time over the course of my life that has more cars like that as a percentage of total cars than any other place I've been..........Berkeley, CA .
