Clean or Tacky - Custom Nolets Gin Shift Knob

So my girlfriends favorite Gin is Nolets so as a gift for her new yaris I made a shift knob out of the cap from the bottle. What do you guys think.

The cap actually has a bit of weight to it. About as much as a normal weighted shift knob so would seem to work well on a manual transmission. I am thinking about other types of caps that I could use to make.

That looks great. Would love to have one if you decide to make them to sell.

Could help you with a ecomm website too.

I think the sun reflection is going to hit it just right and be a big bright knob and you are trying to drive with this thing shining in your eyes.

Creative I like it. However, I do agree with the above post about the knob shining in your eye.

Really isnt any glare just the light hit it at the perfect angle when i took the picture. I filled the inside of the cap with liquid polyurethane and then chopped the stock shift knob bottom off and glued it to the inside then drilled and tapped the threads.

Plenty of cars (not Yarii) have chromed shift gates and gauge surrounds and other interior trim...if it IS going to be a problem it will only be extremely momentary and nothing other shiny items can't cause. A non-issue.

To the OP....nice job!

The only reason I mentioned is my Pacifica has a chrome trim around the shifter (auto) and it seems to always pick up the sun. Granted it is a square so it has more angles to go with.
