iirc, the only difference between the tailights (us spec, japanese spec) are the amber corners. those can be had at partznet.net and other places that sell oem stuff. he'll also need a new trunk lock because the ones in the 91-93 were shorter than the ones offered for 94+. |

but there's nothing like some awesome oversteer!! as a driver of one, who has oversteered in it, it's pretty awesome!
but i can name a few overrated cars that a lot of people here would probably be like "No way!" (ie the skyline gtr, in all of it's iterations, the supra). in fact i've argued with someone in another forum regarding the skyline. he had to bring up his credentials that he was a lawyer and knows how to argue well because I kept saying the skyline was just another AWD turbo car to me, no different than an evolution (in any of it's iterations). from what i understood when i first came to america, people really like it because it's 'forbidden fruit' moreso than because of what it's capabilities are. plus, owning any of these cars in japan is ridiculously expensive. XD a Vitz works well as it's cheap and small in size. |

the 94+ didn't have those tails. your buddy's mr2 is of the 91-93 flavor. he could have a 95+ 3S-GTE in there, but the body belongs to one of those three years.

it's technical features are amazing, but the actual drive was nothing different than an Evolution on street and on track. yes, i've driven a stock one. which is what i always use to base personal comparisons. but again, i still see it as for the most part, americans want the old gtrs, because it was never available in america (not counting the few that one company sold, motorex or something like that).
i'm aware of it's awards and accolades. but let's not turn this post on this bbs about the skyline. this guy's looking for MR2 parts. ^__^;; |
