Since you've not provided a link, I don't know exactly what you are looking at. A strut is the shock assembly used in the front and has spring perch and linkage mounting points incorporated into it. A shock for the rear is simply the piston.

Yes top and bottom bolt/nuts only. Access to top nut is through two small access panel covers in the hatch. Dead simple job to replace rear shocks on the LB. Sedan owners wish they had it this simple.
