Odd as i saw plenty of Cars similar in size to the Yaris like Focus,Aveo,Accent, etc so it isnt that Americans dont drive cars the size of a Yaris sedan..
Two Yarii you might have seen were up here, closer to your home base. When I left my hotel in Burlington, VT this morning, 3 of the 14 cars in the lot were Yarii (including mine). The other two were sedans -- one with Tennessee plates, and the other with Virginia plates.

Is yours a rental, or did you drive all the way to VT?

No, I drove to Burlington. I spent the previous night in Brattleboro. After some sightseeing yesterday in Burlington, I was planning to drive back to Brattleboro, but I was too tired (a welcome respite from my insomnia). Staying in Burlington wasn't as good value wise, but road safety is paramount !

You should stop by if you pass through CT on your way back. I am right off I-84.

My Toyota dealer no longer displaying any Yaris

I live in small city (120,000) in central Minnesota. When I bought my 2008 Yaris, the dealer had about 10 in stock. For last couple of years, the dealer has not
had a Yaris in the lot or showroom. They keep pushing the Prius and the Corolla or Camry. This week I just encountered the first person in four years who said that they bought a Yaris for their daughter who is going off to college.
The only time my Yaris has ever been in the shop was for its annual checkup.
I still get 40-48 mpg on the highway and 30-38 mpg in town.
