Well regarding the original topic of this thread, in my opinion, this forum would definitely be less busy and almost boring if it wasn't for the contributions of CTScott. He is unmatched in his knowledge and it would would be a severe blow to this forum should he decide to buy different car and move on. Most of the time the only reason I check Yarisworld out is to see what he added that day. Thank you CTScott for your efforts....

I'm Here Everyday........

I always check-in here everyday....I usually search through the posts for specific things & am always learning something new.
Going on 7 months with 4,884 miles as of today...car has been flawless, just awesome, love the heck out of it, so glad I found this car it is perfect.
Need to set up my 1st free servicing next week - hopefully I'll get a good reception at the dealer, sure I will.
Gas mileage seems to be going up - darn near 40 mpg without a long highway trip yet. Unreal, so lovin' this car...STILL!

Great MPG....as your area isn't exactly flat . I stopped at a Starbucks (in Hickory) about 15 miles from your town on my way up north. Only 'ex-bank' Starbucks I've ever been in that still has the vault door remaining.

Yep, I'm just North of Lenoir on 321, it's getting pretty hilly at this point in the Appalachians (we're around 1,800 feet where the house is, no flooding here!)
I actually lived in the Red Roof Inn in Hickory for the month of July 2010 while we were looking for a house in Lenoir. There was a Starbucks about 300-400 feet from the motel, it was good. (Considering there were 2 within a block from where I worked next to the White house in DC. ) I was there 2-3 times a day, VENTI refill please!

MPG's have been very, very good. I fill-up once every 3 weeks. I can feel the engine braking pretty darn good around here, even coming out of our subdivision. Will be driving up the mountain soon, last time was 4-11-13 picking up the new Yaris.

To Asheville (). I stayed there one night and day on the way back. I didn't care for the people I encountered (a bunch of glass half empty people), except for 1 person (who happened to be from Texas).

Just one city, though. I know there are a bunch of nice people in North Carolina. My godson and his parents and siblings live there, and they love it.

No, not to Asheville, that's West of me by about 75-90 minutes, I say up the mountains on 321 to Boone, NC. where it snows all the time & the nearest Toyota dealer to me is...
Most people around here are the same way...it's extremely depressing to work around the public here (that's another story) There are a LOT of great people here, but most (great people) are the older & the employed.
Should have moved to Texas instead. Spent the Summer of 1980 there and it was fantastic. 'Urban Cowboy', 'The Shining' & 'Who Shot J.R.'? - Those were the days...
