I see, the actual price is $18k. That is still a huge deal. This is what i paid for my subaru legacy (wagon) way back in 2000. And that was a huge deal back then. It was fairly loaded with options though.

I have to tell you. Subarus are not fuel efficient. I only got 18-25 MPG in the legacy wagon. When it was totaled, I bought V6 RAV4 with 7 seats and with twice the power and towing capacity and got exactly the same MPG.

Be also careful with tire pressure and uneven tires as they will eat diffs and AWD in no time. Subarus are very sensitive to that.

This one is only a base model, but it does have features that my Yaris didn't have like power windows and locks, bluetooth and AWD, so it will be nice for a change. The only thing I wish it had was Alloy wheels instead of hub caps but I can always get them later. The impreza is to get 27 city and 34 highway, I saw where people avg. about 30 mpg which I think is very good for an AWD, I felt sometimes my Yaris only got that.

I don't think so. Here are real life impreza results from fuelly: http://www.fuelly.com/car/subaru/impreza/gas%20h4/sedan

I trust fuelly results. Like I said before, I got up to 24-25 MPG in legacy (on hwy, much less in city) and fuelly confirms that: http://www.fuelly.com/car/subaru/legacy/gas%20h4/wagon

There is no way non-hybrid bigger car with AWD can have MPG of yaris.

30 mpg looks possible. If you don't mash gas like an idiot and drive right.
