Gotta say, i had like a mini heart attack reading this thread. I always worry about breaking that thing off.

It was the worst feeling ever. I struggled for so long with some extended 90 degree pliers as well as regular extended pliers.

I thought I'd clear up what I did to remove it in case this happens to anyone else. When It broke off, I barely exerted any force on it, so I'm not sure how it snapped.

I attached a photo to show how much of it was stuck in the head, basically the entire half that has holes in it.

What I ended up doing was grabbing this little guy from the hardware store, which is basically just a coupling nut with a hook on one side and a loop on the other. I bent the hook so it was more of a 90 degree angle and fished around inside the part to find one of the holes in the side wall. When I found a hole, I put pliers in the loop end of the little tool and gave it a good pull and wiggle and it finally popped out. I then immediately poured myself a whiskey coke.

Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. If it does happen, the little hook method literally took me about a minute to extract it rather than struggling with pliers for another couple hours. Cheers!
