100,000km or 60,000miles, replace the water pump don't wait in any 4 cylinder cars as a rule of thumb. If you have a car with a timing belt well you do both at the same mileage. Trying to inspect a water pump just visual just doesn't cut it. Removing the belt and verifying the bearing by rotating the pulley and also a side motion. As well by experience, sometimes the weep hole is starting to leak but not enough to drip on the ground. You'll be able to see prestone stains on the pump housing.
