yeah I am steadily finding out that fact. kind of sucks too. I would really like to fibd a board that I can possibly use my cpu with that accepts at leadt 16gb of ram for the heavy encoding I do from time to time. any suggestions there?

What is your encoder? I don't think you need that much ram for encoding.
