It sounds like a clutch slipping, not that it is. I have the auto. I don't really feel any power loss but at times I'm getting a little nervous that it could turn into something more.

It's fixed !!!! My car is fixed !

Definitely all exhaust manifold related. 2 parts replaced. Flange and gasket, I believe.
I can not read the mechanic's writing. I guess the flange was making the predominant metallic sound that I was hearing. Car sounds more quiet and all seems to be perfect. I will update after a day or two to make sure nothing changes. I am so relieved and happy.

For me, it was the exhaust manifold flange and gasket. My local mechanic replaced those two parts and the car went silent. I sold it several years later but still miss that car today.

Hi everyone again
Thx a lot for helping especially tdinut and Thx rigaud for taking my part.
Bronsin, your advice may be helpful and I thank you for that. However if you learned my way of thinking and my personality through all the post on this forum and even in this thread, you will learn that I'm quite investigative in nature. Check the first post on this topic. You will easily see that I have done lots lots of research. I have even listed all the potential problem that may be related to it. I have even put a microphone in my car and use a sound recorder to get the sound as raw as
possible. I have even met around four mechanic until now with no solution
You see. I'm not that stupid.

I have the same problem on my Yaris 1.0 2006, I already changed spark plugs, etc, but we haven't found the problem. The mechanic told me now that it could be the 'anti squeak sensor' something like that, does anyone know if this exists? He even showed me in the engine where this sensor is, small connector behind the motor.

On the web I only find a camshaft sensor, is it the same thing?
