I'm at the point where I don't even care, I'm already in to it for about a thousand in parts just last month. Just make the clunk go away, this car is driven by my wife with our infant daughter - I just want the piece of mind that it's in tip top shape.

Where we live we have an inspection program, and the car is due next month, so I'm going to take it to an independent shop that a good friend owns, and tell him to just fix it and pass it early.

That is probably your best bet. Did you replace all those parts yourself just to resolve the clunking issue?
