. I already knew a manual is available, but unfortunately that manual isn't available on the AWD version .

That blows. If I got the HRV I'd definitely want AWD, and I'm not willing to chance their questionable CVT. I guess it makes sense, only 10 percent of cars manufacturerd for the US are manual.

If my 2015 m/t Yaris SE was totaled tomorrow, and I survived it
, my top choices for a new vehicle:#1 - 2016 Yaris SE - preferably m/t, white, silver, gray, or blue #2 - 2010-2012 Yaris Sedan - a/t, if I could find a low-mileage, good condition one, silver or white #3 - Used (2012-2015) Acura ILX - m/t only Last edited by Kalispel; 09-17-2015 at 01:46 PM. |

I was nervous as hell ordering my 2015 SE manual Yaris from another state completely blind, having never test driven anything other than the 2015 SE automatic. Thank goodness Toyota managed to create a pleasant manual driving experience with the 2015 refinements (at least it seems fine to me, and comparable to my past Honda manuals). Even the throttle seems fine, once I got used to it after about a week. It's pretty easy now to get the RPMs at 1200-1500 for smooth, relaxed launching in first gear from stop. |
