I doubt that. Toyota JUST is now getting involved with Mazda. But who knows.

Not as far as I know it doesn't, but whatever Toyota did for the 2015 clutch overhaul, it won me over.

I can't tell you how relieved I was after driving it for a few days (and getting used to the accelerator) and discovering that I actually enjoyed the manual/shifting dynamics in this car as much or more as any of the various manual Honda/Acura vehicles that I have driven over the years. I was really stressing-out about ordering a manual Yaris completely blind (having never driven one), and it almost pushed me into buying a local-dealership automatic just to play it safe. I'm glad that I dodged that bullet, and took the chance.
