Thanks, but it is a very plain manual stick, no after market anything I can see (unless the stereo is not stock). It did come with 'theft deterrent system' but I see no lights, indicators, switches, anything. Thought that was marketing hipe. Have no info on that except some forms from the dealer.

The stereo is the sony CTX GD 620 IP and the manual didn't say anything. It happens when the stereo is off, and the sound seems to come from under the dash. And wired into the ignition switch?

I'm confused, to say the least. Thanks for replying.

The sony is definitely aftermarket and the "theft deterrent" sounds to be as well.
